ITT you help me develop a comprehensive plan for the invasion and incorporation of Mexican territory into the United States
>Why are we doing this
The United States is struggling to produce enough housing for its own citizens. Although this is an issue that requires eventual resolution, the quickest solution to reboot the economy and improve American living standards is simply to seize territory and houses from Mexicans. Additionally, Mexico is rich in many mineral resources including gold, silver, and oil along others. Mexico also has significant manufacturing and agricultural operations. Many of these factories are complementary to US supply chains which makes seizing them a natural choice.
>What will happen to the mexicans? In order of most to least preferable, they will be captured as slaves, they will kill themselves to avoid capture, they will flee, or they will die at our hand.
How will we accomplish this? The goal is to depopulate mexico without damaging its infrastructure or industry. Towards that end, we could impose a blockade, bomb major food distribution centers, and bomb reservoirs/water distribution infrastructure. This would cause an immediate humanitarian crisis and force the relocation of individuals. We could optionally destroy fuel distribution infrastructure as well to limit movement and increase the chance of dehydration/starvation. Once depopulation is achieved, we can begin occupying major regions with military and settling the abandoned cities. Hopefully destroying water, food and fuel distribution capacity will result in depopulation without completely hindering reconstruction and resettlement efforts.
>What will the international community think?
They think a lot of things, including that we are weak. They do not have the capacity to stop us. It wouldn't make any sense to intervene on the part of Mexico.This should be a net positive for the American economy so long as Mexican production isn't disrupted for too long.
