WW1 was the most important war not WW2.

while it's true that without WW1 and it's catastrophic effects on the german empire (german influence) Hitler would have not rose to power, it's also fair to assume that without France and the UK literally starving germany with unpayable debt and military occupation, WW2 would have never happened, WW1 was almost inevitable, the competition was off the charts and a clash was at the door at any moment

If the Central Powers won WW1 it is doubtful you would be seeing similar "socioeconomic factors" as to what is occurring today in our liberal and capitalistic soyciety

 №4201426[Quote]

>>4201403
You just don't see the same ideological background with the Central Powers as you do with the Entente, who was reinforced by Wilson's view of the world (the same guy who created the Federal Reserve and women's rights here) mind you

fair enough, but its also common knowledge that widespread hegemony is destined to collapse. the central powers would of had a tighter control over africa so its not crazy to say that instability would rise even faster than our timeline

 №4201443[Quote]

>>4201438
He was also a victim and a consequence of it, yes.

 №4201445[Quote]

>>4201383
I'd say the death of Franz Ferdinand is "the straw that broke the camel's back", WW1 didn't just start because of that, Austrian expansion in the balkans is something that was going through no matter what and the serbians were the wall they were facing, the same serbians protected by the russians, the same russians that were in tri-pact defense deal with western powers, maybe it wouldn't have been as catastrophic but a war would have happened anyway

 №4201452[Quote]

>>4201433
and he was still retarded enough to join the war far before he was ready. give it another year or two of rapid industrialization and settling and mussolini would rape all of the allies

 №4201469[Quote]

>>4201396
yeah that's true but winning WW1 would have been somewhat of a tall task, not just because austria-hungary and the ottoman empire had been on the decline for decades and it was all on the back of germany, but also because the USA would have invaded hadn't those civilians in that ship I forgot anyway, it would have been perfect for influence, which it did in our timeline anyway

 №4201501[Quote]

>>4201469
I think the only thing holding back Germany wasn't so much its allies but France and its resistance, Belgium was easy to overcome, they just had to find some way to get to Paris. The British troops, it could be said, weren't all that helpful either to their cause. In a way the Western Front between Germany and France, and who became the victor of this, was what dictated how the rest of the world would look like from then on.

 №4201507[Quote]

>>4201469
Because France succeeded we are now in the fake and gay timeline.

 №4201530[Quote]

>>4201469
Whether or not France acknowledges its responsibility in how this world would look like, or whether or not they knew what they were fighting for, is another topic entirely

 №4201569[Quote]

Yes it was a military pact with Russia because they didn't like how Prussia stole all of its previous lands earlier but forcing an ultimatum against the rest of the world for a more "fair" and "equal" and "liberal" world order thus transforming the Empire into the Weimar Republic then forcing the Versailles Treaty on them with consent from Wilson's USA and Lloyd George's UK was a cascade of ruination.

It would be interesting to see a French poster's opinion on this
