Locking her up for a week was probably in the eyes of the German system a public display of the fact that German law on hate speech/social media actually is enforced and they will lock you up over it.
I know it's contentious in these spaces but I still think the German framework for hatespeech laws is coherent and makes sense, and wish it would be adopted elsewhere.
