When you frame right-wing politics as something positive or worth defending, even indirectly, you're still giving it legitimacy. You're treating a worldview built on hierarchy, exclusion, and the idea that some groups deserve less as if it's just another valid option on the table. That lands differently for people who have actually lived under the consequences of those politics.
It might feel like a mild take to you. It doesn't feel mild when the policies and cultural attitudes you're soft-pedaling have a long record of targeting the same communities over and over. By floating it as something good, or at least not bad, you're still doing the work of normalizing it.
I need you to recognize that the implication matters. Own the position you floated instead of hiding behind the fact that you didn't spell it out. Look at what that politics has actually produced, and stop treating the endorsement-direct or suggested-as neutral. It isn't.
