if hungary wasn't Christian it would probably do some crazy historical changes and maybe Byzantium wouldn't fall
no alliance and marriage with the hungarians, no personal union under Komnenian era
a more militaristic Byzantium trying to secure the balkans
maybe bulgarians and Serbs would be less likely to rebel from fear of pagan and Muslims from the north
maybe Byzantium, in a more militaristic isolated mindset would try to capitalize against seljuks more
or maybe they would fall faster with attacks from all sides
