My favorite movie used to be Nightcrawler until I watched Rocky. What I thought I liked about Nightcrawler was the bad ending, which is quite the subversion in the field of cinema, but it turns out that I just liked how humble it is. Rocky's plot is even more humble, until it isn't of course, but the focus of the story remains Rocky, a very simple but oh so lovable lead.
