"However, just as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'Islam began as something strange, and it will return to being strange just as it began.'
If one of them says: 'They engage in Takfir bil umum,' we say: 'Glory be to You, this is a great slander!'
Those whom we declare to be disbelievers are those who testify that monotheism (Tawhid) is the religion of Allah and the religion of His Messenger, and that calling upon other than Allah is false, but then after this, they declare the people of monotheism to be disbelievers, label them as the Khawarij, and ally themselves with the worshippers of domes (shrines) against the people of monotheism.
However, we ask Allah, the Generous, the Lord of the Mighty Throne, to show us the truth as truth and grant us following it, and to show us falsehood as falsehood and grant us avoiding it, and not to make it obscure to us so that we go astray. 'Say, [O Muhammad], "If you should love Allah, then follow me…"' [Surah Al-Imran: 31]"
