Identifying with any form of psychiatric illness, even if it's incorrectly rationalised as being a sign of superiority in some sort of counter-intuitive roundabout way (e.g akshually le depressed people just see the world for how it is, quirky chungus autists are just too smart to communicate with da others, etc.), is indicative of the claimant's status as self-victimising genetic trash. Anyone can be weak, poor, socially stunted and stupid if they so wish, but few people are capable of being strong, wealthy, sociable and intelligent. This irks the inferior kind to no end, and, as an attempt to save face, they feel compelled to combat hierarchal and discriminatory ideals (Racism, homophobia, classism, and, of course, ableism) as an attempt to flatten society and force everyone else down to their pathetic level. Self identification with cognitive impairment is a product of a left wing culture which venerates, promotes and produces weakness, and weakness is the antithesis of power, beauty and life.
