Picture the stadium under the floodlights. A body explodes from the starting blocks-muscles coiled and then unleashed in a single, violent burst of power-and the crowd rises as one, having just witnessed a display of something of a primal nature. No spreadsheet, no patent filing, no abstract theory can match that moment for pure assertion of life. The athlete stands at the peak of what a human form can do when the will to power takes flesh.

Right-wing voices love to invoke this energy, but only in theory… They quote Nietzsche on the surge of instinct, praise the beauty of strong bodies, and urge men toward sun and steel. Yet the same voices grow strangely quiet, or turn openly contemptuous, the moment the bodies dominating those stages belong disproportionately to Black men.
