In wich way does Catholicism "protect" the worst of society? Because in this ultra specific case of a man going to confession to confess his sins he doesnt snitch on him whit the police? This is very clearly and obviously not a Church issue but an issue of the state, if the state would be incapable of doing its basic duty of catching criminals, i dont see how the Church should pay for it.
