The only thing that sucks about them is that poverty strikes harder. Because unlike the US or any other nation, you legitimately have nowhere to go. You can't fly out, swim out, or anything. And you can get stuck in those shitty bugman pod housing pretty easily if you're a reckless spender. Although this only applies to Hong Kong and Singapore only. Monaco apparently has a nearly 0% poverty rate among its citizens.
