Black Americans were one of the highest growing demographics until the De-industrialization and the loss of well paying urban jobs demolished the foundation of working class neighborhoods, paired with segregation, housing, discrimination, unemployment and glowie behavior which led to the black family dynamic falling apart, contributing to weaker schools in black neighborhoods along with lower educational attainment and actual legitimate opportunities. Glowies then created financial disincentives for marriage, in an attempt to continue to tear apart the family dynamic even further. Children cannot develop properly without both parents, and with a single mother (whom probably is not suitable to care for a child at all) this contributes to the lack of development and immaturity we see in black youth today. Behaviors like aggression, criminal activity and conspicuous consumption of bullshit to try and emulate a lifestyle they dont have along with an inherent hostility towards institutions and a victim mindset is destroying black americans. This is only amplified thanks to social media, which can now record these behaviors and pass it as "Cool and Appealing" to youth, the difference between rap per example back then to now is staggering. Whereas back then it was politically driven and actually had some substance behind it, nowadays its shifted towards actual slop. There is close to no difference in lyrics in modern rap songs, guns, sex, drugs.
Which go figure the youth listens to and attempts to emulate.
