Very incompetent because unlike Iran, Saudi arabia doesn't have homegrown military infrastructure, design and industry or non-parasitic trade with greater powers. Instead, it is a vassal of the USA. A dependent entity. Saudi military equipment is entirely built by and bought from America. They are not allowed to buy other's military equipment, they are not allowed to build their own, but most of all, they are DEFINITELY not allowed to reverse engineer or fully understand, let alone reproduce this American equipment. Their soldiers who use American jets are fully trained by the US, for "security reasons"
