This is the average assignment my english class
>read this leftist pamphlet and summarize it or interpret it or something idk
We learn about how america has a le bad racist history, about lives of wholesome immigrants and other bullshit.
Can any other ESLs relate?

Yes. During english class we always had to read about the wonders of diversity.
I distinctively remember one part where the books tells you that there are 2 great things, the melting pot and multicultural coexistence. You had to pick one of the two and explain why it is hecking awesome.
You were not allowed to say no and that multiculturalism is hecking bad.

I had to take civic studies classes in highschool for a few years but it wasn't a subject you had to do exams for so it was literally just a worthless waste of time, the most you ever had to learn were some vague points about the EU and democracy being good and littering being bad. I also remember the textbook being full of shitty facebook boomer tier cartoons like picrel but way more poorly drawn about da wyte man stealing from africa and rich people being bad but that's about it

They would try to keep it progressive but also they didn't dare fully commit to it so it was always relatively apolitical stuff like climate change or social media addiction. Nothing like yours thankfully

During portuguese class we also had to learn about Jose Saramago (he won a nobel prize in literature for being a heckin revolutionary writer ou algo assim), and his works are legit ass.
One of his works that we had to study is a fanfic of a heteronym of Fernando Pessoa where he basically turns him into a commie. It is also full of non subtle commie shit.
The work is also a clitty leak at the authoritarian regime of the time and takes place when when the government acked an attempted communist revolution done by the navy.
Everything else we study is giga, only the works done by Saramago are ass, and we probably only had to learn them because of the nobel prize.

If you can skip school do it you have to make use of your youth while you have it. Worse than an institution of Rape the whole mess is a time thief. Learn about stuff you care about and can make money from while you still can

I don't really remember reading commie shit like this but I also didn't really pay attention in school all that much. Singapore likes to promote the racial unity so we probably had something similar just without whitey bad because you'd go to prison for that.
