Yes. During english class we always had to read about the wonders of diversity.
I distinctively remember one part where the books tells you that there are 2 great things, the melting pot and multicultural coexistence. You had to pick one of the two and explain why it is hecking awesome.
You were not allowed to say no and that multiculturalism is hecking bad.

They would try to keep it progressive but also they didn't dare fully commit to it so it was always relatively apolitical stuff like climate change or social media addiction. Nothing like yours thankfully

During portuguese class we also had to learn about Jose Saramago (he won a nobel prize in literature for being a heckin revolutionary writer ou algo assim), and his works are legit ass.
One of his works that we had to study is a fanfic of a heteronym of Fernando Pessoa where he basically turns him into a commie. It is also full of non subtle commie shit.
The work is also a clitty leak at the authoritarian regime of the time and takes place when when the government acked an attempted communist revolution done by the navy.
Everything else we study is giga, only the works done by Saramago are ass, and we probably only had to learn them because of the nobel prize.
