The young Penteaters resemble Halfmoons somewhat but then metamorphosize into creatures more strongly resembling Marrowbreaches albeit with two tails and two mouth openings lined with sharp teeth and a crowbar shaped beak directly in front to prize open Pents!

Mine too (I haven't played it)! You know what is so great about the Penteater, it developed from two species introduced to another Moon in another Solar System not too far from Eido-Thea by the Axum but because only they and Pents were introduced, they had to adapt to eat Pent to avoid cannibalism! Thoughts on my fanfiction?
