Two things can be true at once doe, Africa has shit geography and therefore the people there could never evolve past the basic hunter-gatherer life style.
I do agree that chuds don't think about geography that much when it comes to Africa being poor. You can't expect people who were just living in mud huts and hunting for their food to actually understand how to maintain an industrial society.
