My idea for a Anomalous Hybrid descendant between a Halfmoon and a Marrowbreach that adapted to a Ice Giant's Moon of a MV3 Red Dwarf in the outer part of the habitable zone a few light years away from the Eido-Thea System. As a result of Axum explorers from Proteus seeding the Cold Moon's saline lakes with Halfmoons and Marrowbreaches they found that the close confines of glacial lakes resulted in Marrowbreaches accidentally fertilising the reproductive cells of Halfmoons which resulted in hybrid offspring being born with help of Proteavirus alpha found in both species. Thousands of years after the Axum colony was abandoned the Marrowmoons would struggle to find adequate food in the saline lakes, resulting in populations becoming amphibious and quickly gaining a coat of fur, using their two fins as limbs and their dorsal fin as an arm… Thoughts? The idea is a nod to Subnautica: Below Zero and Subnautica 2!
