China and India both suffered under foreign rulers, such as the Manchu-ruled Qing Dynasty for China and the British Empire for India. In earlier times, China was ruled by the Mongol Empire and India was ruled by the Mughals, who were Turkic and Muslim. Both experienced millions dying, such as Taiping Rebellion for China and Sepoy Rebellion for India. Both suffered after revolution and independence; the Chinese had to fend off the Japanese, and when the Communists won, they enacted policies that killed millions and made China poorer, while India had to deal with thousands of unique ethnic groups, which would later rebel against them, such as the Sikhs and Kashmiris, then they had to deal with Pakistan, which later acquired nukes to make it even more complicated. Both countries remained poor, corrupt, low IQ, dirty third world shitholes, nobody expected them to be developed, yet for some reason China managed to develop enormously, to becoming a rival of the US and building megacities with the longest high speed railway in just only decades, while India remained stagnant and didn't develop as much as China. The western approach to China is negative, however the Chinese seem to be cultured and have high IQ. They seem to be more trustable than Indians, who are dirty, arrogant, have a "jugaad" and "izzat" mentality, where they cut corners and think cleaning up after themselves is insulting. What is the cause of all of this? How come both countries that have similiar situations ended up differently? Is it the caste system in India or is there something deeper?
tl;dr china and india had similiar situations, but china rich and india poor, why?

China actually had a homogenous historically cohesive society. India is a subcontinent. A big thing about china too was that the communists totally wiped out all chinese culture and religion to create the industrialized chinese state. Meanwhile india's thousand years of castes, traditionalism, retarded culture and religion stayed the same. The consequence are today's stagnant india and a powerful china.

>>3921730I mentioned this in my post, but China before Mao was no different than India, considering that they lived in dirty shacks and slums and were weaker than Japanese, despite numbering millions. China under Mao was even poorer than African countries or India itself. IQ is supposed to be hereditary and take a long time to increase, but Chinese managed to develop fast in decades. North Koreans, who are the same as South Koreans, except different political system, are poorer and less developed, despite high IQ. Same could be said with Mongolia.
>>3921738I do agree that homogenity plays a role in this, but China also has Tibetans, Mongols, Uyghurs(which China later sent them to concentration camps) and several ethnic groups in Yunnan and Guizhou, yet they all managed to still be cohesive?

>>3921771I think it's SECA, because white countries are being invaded by Indians and we wanna understand why Indians are still retarded.

>>3921767The thing is, the han chinese are far, far more numerous and cohesive. tibetans, mongols and uyghurs are snca in the grand scheme of things due to the massive population imbalance. India doesn't even really have a single dominant ethnicity, the closest proxy they have to nationalism is religion. And the other factor is india hasn't been ruled as a single state for the vast majority of its history, unlike china.

>>3921781Would India have been better if it was split into several countries instead of into an artificial multicultural and forever poor shithole?
