No serious man ever claimed they press a button and every outcome on earth snaps to their will. They aren't omnipotent. They dominate finance, media, the academy, the major parties, and the moral language of the age. That is more than enough to steer civilizations into decline. It does not mean they can freeze demography, stop the mass movement of hostile populations, or veto every local election once the numbers on the ground have already shifted. New York is not a pure Jewish fortress.

As for the vote totals: they do not need to win every single race by magic. They need the system itself, the press, the NGOs, the donor class, the legal regime, the cultural taboos, to remain intact. Local setbacks happen. There have been riots, declines and suffrage. That has never stopped the larger project. Rent control hurts some of their own property interests, yes. But the deeper interest has always been the dissolution of the historic American nation and the prevention of any serious resistance. A broken, Balkanized, low-trust city serves that end better than a stable one.
They voted for Cuomo when it was useful. They will fund the next creature when it is useful. The pattern is not unbroken perfection. The pattern is that every major institution still bends in the same direction over time, and the people who notice it are the ones treated as the problem.
