>>3746809 (OP)you mean when you finished a game and you go on your way to replay it you don't find it to be as amusing as you first played it?
â„–3746823[Quote]
I feel a game is good when you feel disappointed when you finish it and know that it's the end.
â„–3746826[Quote]
>>3746809 (OP)That's why speedrunning, multiplayer and other games exist

>>3746820If a game is solved I'm just going through the motions atp, not really playing.

>>3746832>game is solvedyou mean you finished it, completed it? Fuck does solved mean it's not a Rubik's cube we're talking videogames, which may span from 4 to 30 hours on average.

>>3746847I know the best strategy to engage with it so I'll always win. I know the best items so nothing else is relevant. I know the optimal way to progress so why do anything else.

>>3746858well once you complete a game it depends on you what to do next,
for example when I completed dark souls 1 (took me 25 hours), I wanted to complete it 100% (took me 53 hours), I found it fun but yeah now that I know everything I wouldn't play it as of late.
Try playing multiplayer games

â„–3746904[Quote]
>>3746885What good multiplayer games are there? I'm not touching a hero shooter or really most shooters nowadays if I think about it.
>>3746891Good games are hard to find these days.

everyone I knew that meta slaved in single player games and did shit like duplication cheats ended up being some sort of criminal from their poor impulse control

>>3746904What games have you solved rabbi?
â„–3746958[Quote]
>>3746918I don't cheat I understand for a puzzle to be fun you have to play by the rules.
>>3746932Minecraft, Rimworld, shit ton of city builders, horsey game, terraria, songs of Syx, bulwark, prison architect off the top of my head.
â„–3747002[Quote]
>>3746904well it depends on your taste in videogames really, there is rocket league, don't starve together (if you like crafting and survival) to name a few for now because I also haven't been playing much multiplayer games lately as I'm focusing on Mewgenics, Total Warhammer 3 and the metro games.
â„–3747012[Quote]
>>3746958Play Hotline Miami.
â„–3747017[Quote]
>>3747002Main thing I dislike with multiplayer is I feel like I can't play on my own time.
>>3747012I actually have it I just haven't played it yet.
â„–3747063[Quote]
>>3747017yeah that's usually how it goes, some people give more hours into the game and may happen to not leave you room for breath, but you'll get used to it if you keep playing, the important thing is that you like the game or its concept, the getting good part will come along eventually
â„–3747156[Quote]
multiplayer games are caca you're constantly having your leisure time enjoyment ruined by redditors and discordians throwing tantrums
â„–3747160[Quote]
>>3747156Depends how much you have to interact with the other people. Hero shooters are giga aids for example.
â„–3747172[Quote]
>>3747160>>3747160yeah especially blizzard games they're absolute soy chambers. it compounds your original problem because bugmen will screech at you if you aren't playing the "optimal" streamer strats even though they're usually proven to be mathematically retarded months later. tons of groupthink and bug behavior
I have my fun though just picking a character to roleplay and sticking with that mythos. no my witchhunter will not cast a healing spell even though it's 5x more convenient, they're going to pick some grass and brew up a potion. it reconditions your brain to stop being a rat pulling levers and always taking the easiest way out like a crack addict
â„–3747187[Quote]
Set rules for yourself (like not allowing yourself to use specific weapons which are overpowered for example) or play on harder modes. I choose hard mode as a default for every game, since the hardest modes are usually unbalanced and even untested. Harder modes usually assume you already solved the game and give you challenges based on that
