Looking on it from my perspective, I think Mussolini was generally not fit for the role he got as a leader. He would have been a better Goebbels for Italy rather than their Hitler during the time. His personality was not fit for long-term wartime leadership. This especially shows due to his rushed decisionmaking process because he'd want everything done ASAP. I'd argue he could be Italy's Caesar but never their Scipio.

I would argue he would be a great general, or 2000 years ago he would've been an OUTSTANDING Roman Legionnaire. However his leadership over all of Italy was really too much for his personality to handle.

Chuds only think a leader is good if they're good at wars. If we're putting him against Hitler who would obviously be the first comparison Hitler is just better in most aspects especially in military experience. Only real downside with Hitler was he's TOO ideologically driven and radical at his own detriment. Still Mussolini had a cult of personality and the strongest leader in modern Italian history.
