>be Russia
>invades Ukraine on Feb. 24th, 2022
>calls it a "special military operation" to depose the president and instate a pro-Moscow dictatorship in Kyiv
>backfires and VDV paratroopers get slaughtered in Hostomel airport
>so after losing the battle of Kyiv, Russia sets its sights on Donbas, and decides to build a land bridge linking Donbas (Donetsk/Luhansk oblasts) to Moldova to then invade going northward to completely capture the rest of Ukraine. The problem? Elite units got caught up in Mariupol for 85 days which was long enough to cause Russia to redeploy troops to stop the counteroffensive when Ukraine reclaimed Kherson, plus Russia got caught in intense urban combat and house-to-house engagements, melee fighting and Mariupol getting power and supplies cut off and laying brutal siege to the city. Russia lost 2,500 soldiers in the battle, over 5,000 others wounded. The marines and DNR suffered heavy losses. Russia got pinned down. And it worked. All of their leaders surrendered, outnumbered, outgunned by land, air and sea, and massively encircled and trapped. The second major problem was Russia's loss in the battle of Mykolaiv oblast. So Ukraine still has Black Sea access. And the sinking of the Moskva with two Neptune subsonic anti-ship missiles that bypassed the flagship and ignited the magazine, blowing the ship up. And add in the second battle of Snake Island that Ukraine won.
>In Kharkiv, Ukraine was able to stop a Russian mobilization in the city after spotting 30 Ru SOF troops taking cover inside a school and a gunbattle erupted. Only a few escaped, many were killed and the rest captured.
>The aforementioned 2nd battle of Kherson which Ukraine won.
>And lastly, the 2nd battle of Izyum that Ukraine won, so now they continue to have control over the Donbas basin just like Crimea through Kherson.
Can we admit that Azov/UA forces were able to flip an invasion into a frozen conflict that risks further escalation with NATO? They were trained well. They had 8 years of experience in the war in Donbas (2014-21).

Isn't most of azov either in shallow Graves or work camps now? They just pedal out the lasy battered survivors to march in formation when the pigger banderites need something to squeal for
