Uhh yeah i agree. I also think we need to stop pissing away the magnitudes of progress brought by stronger hardware so effectively.
Also another issue with software looking like that is cuz in 1990 there was barely any difference in screen res. Alot of the reason why everything is simple slop now is because its super east to scale to the millions of different resolution. Find a solution to tackle that issue and we can havr software looking like that again in no time.
Infact we do, with vectors and all that. I think you can make the old windows 95 pixelated text look nice on a 4k monitor
