No you didn't retard. C Preprocessor is a compilation step which reads macros and replaces them in text. It's good for meta programming, however as you include header files you may poison your source with some macro that, for example, my redefine a type name with garbage, which will then leak into headers you included after that, which will result in incomprehensible nigger error message. smh.

that doesn't happen so often, yet it still happens.
Also preprocessing is a one step operation which means that you can't do this
#define SYMBOL #define ABC 5
because it would require an additional preprocessing step.

Umm… I though it was not powerful enough to do that and that's why nulangs have comptime. S-snopes?

 â„–3717716[Quote]

>>3717708
you can do this

#define int 88
#include some shit from standart library

and watch the fun

It buck broke C compiler

 â„–3717730[Quote]

>>3717716
it's funny how newbies may think that #Include is some magical word to link the file. No, it just copies the contents of the file into your source, which usually contains the definitions of the functions, and then you link the binary with ld something like -l kernel32.dll
