The Movie "The Human Condition: No Greater Love" is a brilliant deconstruction of the concept of a "conscientious objector" within an imperialist state. To avoid serving directly withing the military, he takes a job supervising a colonial slave labor camp.
It destroys the concept of a lawabiding disobediant within such warmongering states. Acknowledging that the only true resistance is directly opposed to the state. Through the disgusting atrocities he is accomplice to. Even if he tries to be a "fair master" it all ultimately is slavery, and work that contributes to imperialism.
There is one scene, where he sends Chinese "pleasure women" to pacify the Chinese slaves after one of their own is beaten to death by an overzealous supervisor. in this scene, the prostitutes under capitalism are given the respect they deserve as fellow slaves to imperialism in capitalism. They are compared to the slaves toiling in camps. They both suffer the same misfortune.
Right after this scene, he returns home to his "traditional" and "Romantic" housewife, who informs him that one of their chickens has laid an egg. Why does he deserve new life and a wife, when the Chinese are forced into death and prostitution? A brilliant parallel. This movie earns my complete recommendation.
While he feels guilt and tries to work within the system to be as "fair" and "human" as possible, this is a complete waste of time since the system is inherently unfair and inhumane. The murder of the Chinese slave is covered up because "it would not do to trade the life of a mere Chinese with an honest Japanese". Imperialism cannot be "improved" from within. It can only be dismantled

In fact, the movie is extremely progressive for it's time, denouncing housewives as nothing more than domestic slaves. While also denouncing the "divide and conquer" method and ethnic nationalism through the Chinese's disdain for the Koreans.

I read this.
The issue is most imperial states were nowhere near as inhumane as Japan was. Some empires even improved the lands they ruled over

Which ones? They all left behind backwards systems designed to control that impeded industrialization and developement.
In Latin America, the resource extraction model of plantations created a class of feudalist landowners that consistently mobilized against the development of society with civil war and slavery.
In India it transformed one of the largest economies into a shithole and created the caste system which still chokes the country to this day
In Rwanda it incited genocide.

Rhodesia only "developed" the areas inhabited by whites. These places didnt become "poorer". Their independence only exposed the existing inequalities. Instead of electricity only for whites, South Africa has rolling blackouts for the whole population.

Why do I not trust the ethiopian and his doings, because he enslaved the Moors and Saracens; prester john the problem.

This movie really is brilliant. Human feelings blocked and made impossible by this human construction. Sexual instict amplified and repressed.

Fucking lies. It was created around the Vedic era around 1000 BC. Not the British or Muslim Mughal empire who conquered India before. Its ancient as hell and has deep ties to Hinduism. Faggot ass leftist jeet, stfu

What the fuck are you talking about? The british raj proper started around the 1800s by the British East India Company. Anything else is cope. Even then it does not refute the results of the period of colonization.
