For the standard setting, weddings are usually situated in either public fields or a backyard for the general pipo and in Hotel ballrooms and private buildings for those who can afford it. Here i attended one in a Hotel, the Groom is my older brother in law and he's putting on a proper black tie, that's when you know he is elevating the scene. The ceremony is entertaining and heartfelt, the food here is wonderful, and the Groom and Bride here are swell. There is also a picture of the family's deceased Patriarch on mi mother's side situated as if it's a Chinese offering for the Ancestor, there's even food situated next to it geg. I don't think they are actually believing in confucianism doe it's probably just secular tradition

You go to church first, then to random ballrooms or halls they rented out to eat and dance and drink. It's quite a lot of dancing and people get VERY drunk. The weddings also tend to last till early in the morning
