My dad decided to convert to Islam in his 20s, before he left the Netherlands. Why? no clue.
when he met my mother, who at the time was a catholic, he had to "hide" it, (became agnostic/atheist?). after they divorced, he stayed agnostic, but about 3 years ago, he went back to islam. he remarried, to a yemeni woman. I am quite fond of her too, since she has treated me like her own daughter.
recently, i have seen the rape gang enquiry, and i remembered other cases of violence against women in islam. why did he convert? i keep asking that. his own wife's family made her suffer, and her sisters too. they forced her older sister to marry at 18, and forced her to marry in her 20s, which she spent 10 years fighting for a divorce since her first husband was an abuser.
Why did he join a religion that is so bent on oppressing women, when his only child is a woman? he knows what i have gone through, so why did he join a religion where the prophet, in his 50s, at worst married a 9 year old, and at best a 17 year old?
I hate the fact he made me move from the netherlands, to the niggerhell known as brapzil, because my mother "missed her family". i was happy to move away from brazil, but now i live in england, and in the most muzzie packed area.

i try to, but my father completely shuts down any conversations i try to have with him if it displeases him. We've even spoken about afghan women and all they say is "theyre twisting the purpose of islam"

Half dutch half brap. my biggest cope is that brazil side of family are super white and half german. grandma was against race mixing so no blacks in the family (not that the fathers wouldve stuck around)
