They do not have retractable claws like most cats, so they are dull and only useful for running. They have about the same capacity to kill you as a large dog, actually several breeds of dogs are more dangerous than a cheetah.
If we simply selectively bred them to be more social and more omnivorous, they could be pets in a few generations.
