I'm trying to convince my father government surveillance is a bad thing. He genuinely thinks that sense he does nothing wrong, he shouldn't care and is happy it catches more crime. I told him that it sacrifices liberty because now the government has power over him that it otherwise wouldn't have, but he still doesn't see a problem. He thinks if it suddenly turned against him, he would still win. Is he a based retard? How do I convince him otherwise.
