I'm starting to get heartburn regularly like my dad which is pretty gay (my dad isn't homo, don't mince my words). I really like garlic and tomatoes and I don't want to have to eat them less.

Daily, but daily I eat the kind of foods that are known to trigger heartburn.

 â„–3504993[Quote]

>>3504985
That will probably be it then
There's like a valve or something that stops food from leaving your stomach and laying down flat puts pressure on this if you've just eaten.
Overtime it weakens and acid starts to seep into your oesophagus.

The double-jointed thing doesn't rule it out btw, they just frequently occur together because they can both be the result of abnormal connective tissue

I suffer from constant heartburn/acid reflux, burping and dysphagia. Everytime I eat a food or drink a liquid, I get often dysphagia, have difficulty swallowing and get constant acid reflux and burping. Most of the specific meals/food and liqiuids gives me dysphagia, acid reflux and burping, so I usually avoid these foods and drinks that gives me dysphagia, acid reflux and burping. Some foods doesn't give me dysphagia, acid reflux and burping, so I usually eat these and could digest just fine. Tap water/clean water is the only liquid that I can drink without giving me dysphagia, acid reflux and burping. All the soda, sparkling water, juice, beer and other beverages gives me dysphagia, acid reflux and burping. I've had this since October 2023, it's getting worse for this every year.

I went on a manometry ph test on December 2025 on the hospital, and they put the catheter from my nose and right into the lower side of my esophagus to measure the ph acidity and pressure on the esophagus. During the test, I was asked to lay on the bed and making me drink some salt water and wait 30 seconds and then swallow. When I swallowed it, they found something strange on my esophagus, everytime I drink this liquid, the liquid would get stuck on the lower side on my esophagus and it will take long time to reach into my stomach. That happens everytime I eat a meal or drink a liquid, they would get stuck on the lower side on my esophagus and it will take long time to reach into my stomach.

I got the results from the hospital and they said I'm diagnosed with Achalasia. The doctor told me they will give me a treatment against achalasia by giving me a surgery by cutting my lower esophageal sphincter and open it up. I have to wait, but it's been almost 3 years I have this, so it's frustating to me. I just want to eat and drink normally again without giving me constant dysphagia and heartburn for fuck sake. It's getting worse and worse everyday for my Achalasia disorder.

Let's hope I will get me the treatment against my achalasia and finally eat and drink normally again.
