I heard the reason Namibia has that stretch of land is because the Germans tried to connect it with their colony in Tanzania but they didn't know there was a waterfall so the border stopped there.

The reason I mention this is because I saw many geography channels talk about how the African are bad.
They all say the same things
>Too many straight lines
>Gambia being literally just a river
>The DRC having the smallest coastline
>too many countries with confusing names, there's 3 Guineas, 2 Congos, Niger and Nigeria, names like "Central African Republic" and "Ivory Coast" are just lazy
>Angola having that disconnected part (Cabinda)
>Don't get me started on Western Sahara
>Too many groups that speak vastly different languages being in the same country

I think South America's borders despite also being colonial, are actually good, because the straight lines are less noticeable and these countries fought wars over territories which fixed the borders a little. The only one with a weird shape is obviously Chile, but that's a natural border caused by the Andes.
