Sometimes a kid needs a spanking or a slap to know what's good or not. My mother would do that to me when I misbehaved and I turned out fine. Not once have I tought anything bad of her. The line is crossed if you beat your kid for everything or hurt them more than necessary

It's bad if you do it constantly, but once in a while if they do something really bad they should get punished for it. Maybe not by getting beaten, but some kind of restriction on whatever they enjoy doing

anyway, it depends on the situation and child. You shouldn't spam it, but if a kid really messeres up, and you don't have another way of disciplining them, then you must do as you must.
