I find it hard to believe what they're doing(forcing age verification) in the name of child safety is genuine, they just want control over the internet.

You mean to tell me there isn't a Mr. Robot guy running Kali Linux who reads all of my 'p reports and hacks the websites and finds evidence to prosecute them? Shit they probably don't even read it. After all, the CIA knew what Epstein was doing (he was even prosecuted for the same charges in like 2004 but released for good behavior, so they knew), but did nothing.

I feel like police efforts are proportional to how much money they can gain out of it. I'm presuming the reason why glownigs care so much about drugs is that they probably resell the drugs to vulnerable people in countries or communities they don't like. , how could you tell?

Truth is, the game was rigged from the start. There's so many pedophiles, too many in fact, to the point that it'd simply be impossible to deal with all of them. What would be better off spent investigating murder cases, serial killers, fraud, active cases, etc. There would simply be too much paperwork to be done. To top it off, there is literally so much CP on the internet that they can't do anything about it.

What authorities focus on instead is preventing the creation and spread of new material. Known CSAM is tracked using hash databases, allowing platforms and investigators to identify and block previously documented content. When new material appears that does not match existing records, that can indicate an active abuse case requiring investigation, rather than just another archive of already-known material.

I remember hearing some theory that they are the ones distributing it because of this, they make an occasional high-profile arrest to shut the public up and keep going.
