Most societies expelled jewish people for whatever reason, the second you brought in a hierarchical government system, you then allowed this idea of people being in power based on how much power they have.
When you remove this middle piece, and you dictate society based on worth and worth alone, then jews will vanish into obscurity.
Why give favours to someone just because they're part of your religion in a society that only favours how valuable you are?
