Jurchens/Manchus are completely underrated conquerors. Conquered Entirety of China and Mongolia two centuries after learning to smelt iron and even then wasn't universal to all tribes. In fact the Jurchen Jin Dynasty was set up by Horse Archers/Ginseng Farmers who COULDN'T smelt Iron by themselves.

In fact they lacked immunity to smallpox but still conquered China.

It would've meant the end of Manchu rule in their eyes and they weren't wrong. Banner System was a objectively superior system of governance.

The difference between Japan and China is that China didn't get a "meiji" restoration type industrialization.

They're a 2nd world country larping as 1st world, depends on which areas you visit. But they're still a developing nation. I feel like Chinese would've become an actual superpower (they aren't right now, trust me) if the Qing dynasty fell in the Taiping rebellion.

Right now, if China wants to attack America, they will not survive a month with full scale invasion. Perhaps they can survive a defensive war against NATO, but nothing offensive.

My point was the fact the Manchus were able to hold onto China and Mongolia and keep the Sikhs/British out of Tibet for so long despite being at a numerical disadvantage (I mean their closest relatives are far eastern tribes like the Nanai and Ulch) is a testament to a objectively extremely intelligent, strong and skilled tribe.

Chiang Kai Shek too apparently.
Mao didn't go below 18, at least according to wikipedia.

I swear theres many cases of Mao doing shit with cacas, and even if it wasn't cacas he did just spread his disgusting STDs to young girls

Mao and Maoism were terrible for china, but it did lead to the later Dengist policies which are probably the best political/economic system to currently exist.

I just checked the age of his wives. Both Yat-sen and Shek had 15 year old concubines.

Maoism was a typical failed communist industrialisation effort that cost China more than the Japanese invasion

It was, and it wasn't even beneficial to the long term health of the state. The soviets caused a lot of harm to their population with their industrialisation, but they at least had some industrial knowledge from the tsarist era, so their factories did work decently and it ended up being crucial to their success in ww2. The chinks had no clue what they were doing, encouraged pipo to make steel in their SNCA villages, it was all low quality and a gorillion people starved to death.

About 3-5 million died in the soviet famines, and that includes the hoholodomor. The highest estimates are 10 million deaths. This was closer to 5% at worst.
15-55 million died due to the great leap forward. That was nearly 10% of their population at worst.

Mao was a good war time leader but when it comes to politics and statecraft he was completely out of his depth.

the fact china was conquered by foreigners and the foreigners were consumed by their own culture to the point that by the 4th generation the jurchen leaders were speaking mandarin instead of jurchen speaks volumes. nevertheless that manchu is a critically endangered language. chinese culture is built for longevity (you can see that through their writing system too)

It's always funny to me how communist countries will sacrifice 5-10% of their population; disproportionately killing the specialists and then glorifying the needless deaths as the sacrifice they needed to take only to fall short technically and technologically
China only got their industry running after successfully copying the West
