The Talmud touches on many topics and it's main purpose is mainly to study the exercise of debate and judgement, most commentary made in the Talmud isn't accepted, especially in interpreting the Torah. Jewish communtiies around this time were known for disagreement. I think in the images you posted there's a Rabbi who objects to the arguments being made.
