I think the biggest problem with a truly free market is that in many cases important sectors can reach a steady state outside of the optimal. I think its obvious a population of well-bodied, high-thinking individuals would be an overall economic benefit, but yet many companies still sabotage public wellbeing by feeding vices and aggressively attacking the senses. I feel like what the reasons behind this is the root of a lot of snca debate that is moot at the end of the day. Negative economic incentives should make those tactics way less than feasible.
