europe's so-called golden age? heavily built on the back of colonial extraction. between 1500 and 1900, the transatlantic slave trade and colonial plunder transferred trillions (in today's value) from the global south to europe. britain alone extracted an estimated $45 trillion from india according to economist utsa patnaik. the industrial revolution didn't happen in a vacuum - it was fueled by cotton from slave plantations, silver from bolivia and mexico, and raw materials stolen across africa and asia. even the dutch golden age was soaked in indonesian blood and resources.
you love to scream about "african countries had no wheels" while ignoring that many societies had advanced metallurgy, mathematics, and urban planning long before contact. timbuktu was a major center of learning while much of europe was still recovering from the black death. the congo under king leopold? turned into a personal death camp that killed millions for rubber profits. belgium still won't return most of the stolen artifacts.
and don't even start with "but we ended slavery" - europeans profited from it for centuries then banned it only after it was no longer the most profitable model, switching to "free trade" imperialism and structural adjustment programs that continue the extraction today through debt, imf loans, and multinational corporations.
this is why third-worldists and real internationalists laugh at your "based western civilization" larp. capitalism doesn't care about your race - it cares about profit, and it happily used colonial racism as a tool to divide the global working class. fascism is just what happens when that system starts crumbling and needs scapegoats.
the material conditions don't lie. read some lenin on imperialism as the highest stage of capitalism. your entire worldview is just liberal history with extra racism.
