What might happen, psychologically speaking, if someone-say, a brown or Black man-grew up under strict family expectations that he should only date within his race, and he internalized that rule for years? If he limited himself to relationships only with women whose skin tone closely matched his, how could that shape his mindset, his sense of identity, or even his approach to relationships over time?
