1. You must know about the loudness war. It has been on since vinyl era and still continues. Basically labels are making the music louder and use a lot of compressors decreasing the dynamic range, it's only good for poorfags with cheap earbuds. Peak of loudness war was 2005-2010. I advise you to not get remastereds of old albums and instead search for older discs or their rips.
2. Talking about discs, did you know that music industry often don't put high quality master recordings on CDs now and often put compressed MPEG audio on it making their CDs a scam. Same with a lot of modern vinyl, a lot of modern vinyl is also a scam on which they record MPEGs and the soundengineering is not even that good. Lately there's been a trend of cassettes and they are even a bigger scam since pretty much all new ones are recorded on cheap chink tanashin knockoff mechanism which is not even true stereo, does not use noise reduction and HX.
3. Platforms such as youtube, spotify and other streaming platforms use loudness normalization which ruins frequencies, if you downloaded mp3s from youtube then congrats you downloaded good packaged shit.
Verdict: Fuck it, just torrent rips from rutracker, don't waste your money and if you want physical then make it yourself.
