Never heard of anyone discussing picrel online, only ever found out about it because of a DVD gathering dust in my parent's basement. It's a bit theatrical and almost like romeo & juliet set in modern times, not in the way they speak but more how the story goes, where there's a major tragedy that could've been avoided if the characters weren't at the wrong place at the wrong time. It's sort of a family friendly noir, and i love the rainy, foggy aesthetic it has. I also enjoyed the song used in the DVD's menu: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ppmUdn6GUXQ&pp

Apparently the whole movie's on goytube, in here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-8xklUI2tco. If I were you guys though i'd try torrenting it in higher quality.

Barely anybody has heard about picrel, especially outside of France. I found out about it randomly through an internet list of underrated movies and then one evening I felt like watching some historical drama and torrented this movie. Now it's in my top 25 movies ever, and I've watched over 600.

The film faithfully retells a real story that happened in 1560, but I can't tell you about it because that would spoil the movie.

Man Bites Dog comes to mind. It’s about a chuddy Belgian serial killer. I quite liked it in parts, but there’s also a lot of degenerate shit because it was made by some French kikes nophono has ever heard of. Actually, the guy acts pretty Jewish, which makes certain parts funnier. It’s sort of like a Clockwork Orange but without any real point. On the whole, I would still tentatively recommend it to you guys on the strength of its gemmier parts
