thats a good idea, last time i saw another challenger on the road it was a blacked white woman who had her bbc in the passenger seat of a shitty v6

do you use regular or premium fuel
â„–142971[Quote]
>>142970Idk mane. Most likely regular fuel, premium fuel is for higher performance engines as far as I know. Normally my dad just refuels it by pouring fuel in via gas canisters rather than gas station pumps. I've only driven it around the block when I was learning how to drive so I myself never used enough gas to need to refuel it.
â„–142972[Quote]
>>142971how old was that gas
â„–142974[Quote]
>>142972I'm not sure but it definitely wasn't old or expired. Before the carburetor started failing the truck was used every now and then and even when it wasn't being used I would turn it on to keep the battery from dying
â„–142975[Quote]
>>142974run it on the highway at high RPMs with a full tank of premium gas for a while
â„–142977[Quote]
>>142976not THAT high rpms just high enough to let it breathe
â„–142978[Quote]
>>142977What is that supposed to do anyway
â„–142979[Quote]
>>142978cleans out any shit, engines arent meant to go slow all the time, builds up carbon
â„–142980[Quote]
>>142979Would doing this while parked also work?
â„–142981[Quote]
>>142980i wouldnt personally
its better to do it with an actual load on the engine so you arent just spinning it
â„–142982[Quote]
if you can at least get it up to 55mph or 65 and drive it like that for a good 10 minutes you'll probably notice it driving better than before after a while
â„–142983[Quote]
and if something does fuck up while you're doing it, its better to have it fuck up when you're ready for something to fuck up. because if it goes out then, it was on its way anyway. at least you'll be prepared. make sure you got all the fluids on you and some tools and a way to get it towed home if it comes to that (hopefully not)
â„–142984[Quote]
also try to find a road that lets you go that fast but doesnt have much traffic. if something does go wrong you dont want to be in a crowded highway when it happens
â„–142985[Quote]
i own a 1966 ford f100 with a 289 in it, ive taken it 80 on the highway, in fact i drove it over 500 miles one way with no issues other than stuff i already knew about beforehand

those inline 6 engines are awesome, also before you do this, add a can of seafoam to the gas tank. like, the whole can.
â„–143037[Quote]
>>142986What does the seafoam do?
â„–143056[Quote]
>>143037its basically pure petroleum and dissolves the carbon build up and any old varnished fuel that might have built up in the lines
â„–143057[Quote]
also my half shafts just got converted into quarter shafts today as i was driving yay
â„–143059[Quote]
