it was a time where cartoon network shows were morphing into soyboy A24 kino (except gumball and clarence, the latter was also hated back then). adventure time trooned out, regular show priorized mordecai's love triangle above humour and shows like over the garden walls and SPECIALLY steven universe became the favourite of many viewers from the channel. when uncle grandpa, a CARTOONY show, aired along those many cried simply because there was no heckin' comfy lore building moralerinos!!!!

it doesnt help that back then there were users like mysteriousmrenter who would throw shit at media they found mildly unlikable and, somehow, people (with that i mean cacas) repeated their opinions instead of forming own criteria. to give you an idea, it was the same time when aspies would skin themselves over mediocre spongebob/family guy episodes

It was, soyboys became prime audience of cartoons. Whacky and random humor is problematic, unless you say its dark and disturbing.

I didn't like it much myself, but it wasn't as self-gratifying as some shows on CN in that time period. There was no autistic SNCA lore and it you could start watching at any episode.

Pendleton didn't do shit, he hardly did the writing after the show became troony and actually stepped down as showrunner at around season 5. Adam Muto and (((Rebecca Sugar))) are solely to blame for the show becoming tranny garbage.
