I'm playing through the first one as I speak, I haven't played it in ages so it's just sat on my PS5 storage collecting dust.
I like the gameplay, since I'm a fan of walking sims in general.
Managed to take this screenshot which is my current desktop wallpaper. [See Picrel]
The combat/gunplay is alright, I liked the 2nd bossfight against Clifford Unger.
The music by Low Roar is great, I love it.
Good vidya overall.

I can't imagine Kojimbo making a good game after mgs4 and 5

I felt drained after playing it for a few hours because the gameplay is so bad. Only soyboys on 4 different medications and with literally nothing going on in their lives can enjoy that "over-encumbered" simulator.
This game is THE litmus test to see if you actually like video games or if you're a celebrity fanboy or only around because you feel socially pressured into involving yourself in video games because it's the most popular pass-time.

The people who bitch nonstop about this game are just as soy and retarded as the people who soyed out and clapped like seals because kojimbo made it.

I have played and finished death stranding 1 and 2. Besides some cool set pieces and more fun combat the second game is irredeemable garbage. The 1st game while being pretty flawed had some interesting ideas that make it pretty ok. I think if the movement was more fun, raiders more interesting to fight and if the game leaned more into horror it would be a solid 8/10. I have never played any game made by Kojima before these so celebrity worship accusations have no merit.
