What is your favorite metal band? Mine is Motörhead, some people say their music all sounds the same, thank god, because they barely have any bad releases. Only ones I can point out are: The melancholic diddy ballad right between two bouncy rock'n'roll tracks in the album "Bastard" and some of Lemmy's awful collabs.

Here are what are considered the best albums from their classic lineup of 'Fast' Eddie Clarke, Phil 'Philty Animal' Taylor and 'Lemmy' Kilmister (Seen in picrel) I recommend you listen to them first:
>Ace of Spades (1980)
Bloody classic, their most famous one for a reason. Up in my top 5 albums from 1980.
>Overkill (1979)
Probably their most influential album, created speed metal and inspired thrash and black metal bands.
>Bomber (1979)
Slower than both Ace of Spades and Overkill, but still has great tracks, worth it if just for the first and last songs.

The rest of albums from this lineup:
>Motörhead (1977)
Their debut that still carries a lot of the style and songs from Lemmy's previous band, so you'll find mostly psychedelic rock with some bluesy and outright heavy tracks too, I love it despite the fact it's often forgotten.
>Iron fist (1982)
This is pure Motörhead, the title track specifically is great and the highlight. If you liked the previous ones you'll like this. This is also the last album from the classic lineup because the guitarrist left after a terrible collab Lemmy did with a former prostitute turned punk singer GEG.

>>127509Powerslave, mostly because of 2 minutes to midnight, I love listening to that while on the bike
â„–127514[Quote]
>>127513It pretty much has no weak tracks, my favorite of all is rime of the ancient mariner, they somehow turned a 19th century romanticist poem into a 14 minute epic metal song, simply can't get tired of it. Aces high is great too "THERE GOES THE SIREN THAT WARNS OF AN AIR RAID! HERE COMES THE SOUND OF THE GUN SENDING FLAK!" and I've listened to 2 minutes to midnight so much it's almost lost its charm GEG.

Cannibal Corpse, but only the Chris Barnes era. Corpsegrinder doesnt do it the same way as Chris, his vocals are more refined and rounded

I like megadeth because they do lots of solos. They have an awesome drummer (all of them). Gar samuelson is my favourite.
>
Xheir best album is Youthanasia because I like the guitar tone and the lyrics.
>
Thrash isn't my favourite metal subgenre but Megadeth still is my favourite band.
<Dave Mustaine my beloved

>>127621I love Megadeth too, maybe my third or second favorite band overall. Once you get used to the vocals there aren't any weaknesses with Megadeth: Bass? Always superb, specially the basslines of Dave Ellefson. Drums? Great too. Lyrics? Well written and they fit the vocals. Guitar? It's Megadeth, any band that has had both Marty Friedman and Dave Mustaine is top 10 at least. I personally mostly listen to the albums from Killing Is My Business to Rust In Peace, I've probably listened more to Killing Is My Business alone than to Youthanasia and Countdown combined.

<For me, Dave's voice has been one of the things I love most about the band. It kinda sucks that's the thing that turns the most people off the band.
<I like Killing is My Business too! My favourite songs are Chosen Ones and Looking down the cross. But I've always liked the ballads more so thats why I like Youthanasia the most.

Have you guys ever gotten tired of a great album from listening to it too much? It happened to me with master of puppets, never been my favorite of theirs, but I always had it on repeat when I first got into metal.
