they never seem to talk about anything except how cool it is and how YOU should consume it

9/10 times it's because they're addicted to porn. Most anime is littered with porn because it sucks and needs some sort of barbed hook that works on idiots. Those same idiots will try to claim sexually arousing content is not porn, because admitting you're an addict will make you look pathetic. Well, that, and because a bunch of them are ESL/functionally illiterate and don't even know what porn is to begin with and hate it when you explain to them that they are, in fact, addicted to porn.
