General
- Jannies and Mediators must remain completely anonymous.
- Moderators must not post with their capcode unless granted permission by a higher-up.
- If a post doesn't break any rules, leave it alone. You aren't the coal police or a content curator.
File Approval
When reviewing files, only reject the following:
- CSAM/CP
- Child abuse
- Animal abuse
- Bestiality
- Necrophilia
- Rape pornography
- Self-harm
- Loli/Shota
- Discord invites or similar advertisements
Bans
- Stick to the preset ban reasons and lengths unless you have a good reason for deviating from them.
- The first time a poster breaks a rule, use the shortest preset available for that rule.
If they break the same rule again after their ban expires, ban them again for longer.
Repeat until they're getting the maximum ban length for that rule. - When banning for rule 5 or a board specific rule (e.g. no avatarfagging on /soy/), ban the poster from that board in particular instead of all boards.
- If you're not sure that a rule breaking post is also ban worthy, just delete it without banning the poster.
