This is at least the 5th post I've seen about a CS student not having a social life. I'm majoring in CS as well and it's starting to worry the fuck out of me. I got a couple friends in class but we barely hang out, and I think I'm missing out on important stuff because this group isn't too involved with others in class. I'm also a minority where I live so it's 10x worse.

Hi this is OP checking in 5 months later. Honestly after posting this thread I was too embarrassed to come back and look at the replies and eventually I forgot about this thread. I wasnt drunk btw when I posted it, I was never drunk once in my life. I still have 0 friends and nothing changed except that I might have fucked up my studies and might have to leave uni but Im still hanging in. Im curreently addicted to watching xqc, forsen and checking r9k for a post of an anon who hates me and ghosted me on discord for soem incomprehensible reason (he was the first and only dc bf/friend I made though). I doubt anyones actually cares tbh. But I also spend a lot of time on reading mangas ig. yeah…

I dont really have friends either, but i found joy in working in myself by myself. Going to the gym, studying subjects im interested in, learning guitar. After a while, you start enjoying this solo adventure you put yourself through, if you give it a chance. Thats what i meant.
