I used to use Linux. But due to my university, I have to use Windows. I don't want to dual-boot, it's too tiring and waste of time.
I also use Windows just to play Fortnite, pretty much nothing else. I've used Linux for years and years, it's getting better and ever, but not for playing online multiplayer video games.
Depending on your needs, Windows might be the best, since most of your softwares will work on Windows.
But I do not like how the direction of Windows is going, the fact that the fucking pajeet, the director of Windows said Windows is an 'agentic' OS.

Windows used to be the best os, it had fun pre installed games, cool accessories,a really good ui, it was user friendly and so on and so forth. For most people, an OS is a bootloader for a browser. See if your programs work, test it out, and that's your answer. Windows will be more compatible with more stuff, that's just how it is

Linux. I started slowly shifting from windows because the many issues I had like drivers, explorer.exe crashing and Microshit's other bullshit. After 1-2 years later I tried to dualboot with Windows because I had to develop some windows only shit for money but I quickly got sick from the system because as it felt laggy and simply bad to use.
