Check the Filter: If your air filter is clogged with dust, your AC has to work twice as hard to pull air through it, spiking your bill and cooling less. Swap it out if it looks gray.
Clear the Exterior Unit: If you can brave the 2000-degree abyss for two minutes, make sure the outside AC condenser isn't choked by weeds, leaves, or debris. It needs to breathe to dump the indoor heat.
The 20-Degree Rule: Keep in mind that standard AC units are really only designed to cool a space down about 20°F (approx. 11°C) lower than the outside temperature. If it's a historic heatwave, aiming for 72°F might just run the compressor to death. Bumping it to 75°F or 78°F with a fan running can save massive amounts of cash.

>>16408650CLANKER NIGGER I CHECKED THE FILTERS AND THE EXTERIOR CONDENSER AND I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE 20 DEGREE RULE NIGGA THEY SHOULD MAKE BETTER ACS THEN
